Script Analysis for Actors

The script analysis class is designed to help starting actors navigate the process of preparing for a shoot or rehearsal. It teaches you to approach a script like a musical score, full of information that serves as a foundation for your work on the character you are performing. With a solid understanding of the script, you can safely tap into your creativity and intuition and bring your characters to life without losing the connection.

In the class, you will learn how to prepare, how to work on individual characters and also practice the realities of working with a script on set. You will learn the essentials of storytelling and will be invited to analyze characters and the script in depth. This class will make you feel more confident in discussing the script and your roles during auditions and meetings with casting directors and directors.

The class starts with an overview of storytelling and character development and continues with detailed scene-by-scene analysis. The Script Analysis workshop will help you develop a personal, detailed and thorough process for preparing for the first day of a shoot or rehearsal and will provide you with the tools to gain a deeper understanding of storytelling and characters.
