Kuan-Hung Pan

Script Analysis Teacher

Kuan-Hung has more than 10 years actor training and coaching experience. He is currently an adjunct instructor at NTUA as well as the founder and coach of West Wind Acting Studio. And also, he had work with several different universities, theatre groups and training organizations.

Biography

Kuan-Hung graduated with a bachelor’s degree from National Taiwan University of Arts (NTUA) and holds a MA degree in Actor Training and Coaching from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama at University of London. He is currently an adjunct instructor at NTUA and a core member of Yang’s Ensemble.

After returning to Taiwan from the UK in 2012, he has dedicated himself in promoting performing training. He joined Yang’s Ensemble in 2015, and has been the moderator for the ‘Young Project’, which is a platform offered by Yang’s Ensemble for young artists to have advanced training and to present their work.

Kuan-Hung believes that an actor’s preparation should always start with studying the text of the play. He is convinced that the best way for the actors to approach their characters is through deep script analyzing. Specializing in text analysis, Kuan-Hung guides students step by step to discover character choices, understand dramatic situation and explore different possibilities.
