Meisner Series: The Art of Public Speaking

Inspired by the Meisner approach taught by Martijn Hullegie

In this workshop, we’ll explore the art of public speaking—not as a flashy show where you overwhelm the audience with big gestures, but as a wise educator who sincerely shares insight with listeners. Our focus will be on the meaning and clarity of your words.

This clarity stems from a deep insight combined with precise reasoning. By first grounding yourself in clarity, you naturally connect with your audience. This approach ignites an authentic and moving quality in your speech that resonates deeply, engaging your listeners on a profound level.

The Psychological Foundation

Unlike conventional public-speaking courses that may emphasize memorized techniques or rigid formulas, our training draws on the psychological principles of the Meisner Technique. In Meisner work, true connection with the text which leads to authentic flow, rather than aiming for a predetermined outcome. This approach cultivates emotional honesty, teaching you to stay present while speaking. —The audience will not only listen to you. But you, the speaker will very carefully listen to your audience and from that, allow your impulse to guide you. The result is a speech that feels alive, grounded, and allows one to truly listen. That’s our unique selling point: we anchor public speaking in a psychologically, impulse-based approach that fosters a genuine, truthful interaction.
